20 Hours ECE
Bowen ECE Centre offers 20 Hours ECE to 3 and 4 year old children. Together with the enrolment form, parents will be asked to fill out a Ministry of Education Attestation form to formally attest the number of 20 Hours ECE their 3 or 4 year old child will be taking at the Bowen ECE Centre.
When parents change a child’s arrangements and it affects their 20 Hours ECE, parents are required to update the child’s Attestation form and Enrolment agreement. Any 3 and 4 year old is eligible for up to 6 hours of the 20 Hours ECE per day across all services he/she attends and up to 20 hours per week.
Childcare Subsidy
The Childcare Subsidy is available through Work and Income. Parents and Caregivers can choose between receiving the Childcare Subsidy or 20 Hours ECE or, in some cases, a combination of both payments.
If a family is eligible for a childcare subsidy from Work and Income, they are expected to pay full fees until the Bowen ECE Centre receives written notification of the subsidy approval. If the subsidy is back dated resulting in overpaid fees Bowen ECE Centre will refund the difference.
Talk to the centre manager if you require information about eligibility for childcare subsidies. The application form needs to be signed by the centre manager. Parents cannot claim Work and Income childcare subsidy and 20 Hours ECE for the same hours.
Change of attendance
If you wish to change days, drop days or withdraw your child from the centre, you are required to provide the centre with written notice of four weeks. If you wish to withdraw your child sooner you will be required to continue to pay fees until the 4 weeks has concluded.
